John HART
He
was tried at
Old Bailey, London
on
12 January 1785 for stealing a basket of food with a value of 12 shillings.
He
was sentenced to transportation for
7 years
and left England on the
Scarborough
aged about 46 at that time (May 1787).
His occupation was listed as porter, ex-sergeant. He died in 1795.
