John PETTITT/PETIT

He was tried at Old Bailey, London on 21 April 1784 for stealing musical instruments with a value of 5 shillings. He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years and left England on the Scarborough aged about 29 at that time (May 1787). His occupation was listed as shoemaker. He died in 1796.
