Mary BOLTON
She
was tried at
Shrewsbury, Shropshire
on
12 March 1785 for burglary with a value of 61 shillings.
She
was sentenced to transportation for
7 years having been originally sentenced to death,
and left England on the
Lady Penrhyn
aged about 29 at that time (May 1787).
Her occupation was listed as servant.

Doubt as to her identity in later records because of inconsistent use of her name.Possibly married Samuel Day on 2 November 1788 but regardless were known as a couple for 25 years. At Norfolk Island they adopted two daughters with the surname Sullivan.
