John CLARKE
He
was tried at
Exeter, Devon
on
7 August 1786 for stealing livestock (two lambs) and mutton with a value of 14 shillings.
He
was sentenced to transportation for
7 years having been originally sentenced to death,
and left England on the
Charlotte
aged about 26 at that time (May 1787).
He had no occupation recorded. He died in 1787.
