Ann READ/REED

She was tried at Old Bailey, London on 12 January 1785 for assault and highway robbery with a value of 10 shillings. She was sentenced to transportation for life having been originally sentenced to death, and left England on the Lady Penrhyn aged about 22 at that time (May 1787). Her occupation was listed as fishmonger or servant. She died in 1828.
