Joseph/Thomas ROBINSON

He was tried at Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire on 7 October 1784 for stealing brandy and clothing of unknown value. He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years having been originally sentenced to death, and left England on the Alexander aged about 24 at that time (May 1787). He had no occupation recorded.He left NSW in 1792.

Notes: Partner in the original crime was William Dring.On 9 February 1789 sentenced to 12 lashes for being out of his quarters “with bad intention”.Received 50 lashes on 31 January 1791 for killing pigeons reserved for those in most need.
