William ROBINSON
He
was tried at
Winchester, Hampshire
on
3 March 1783 for assault and highway robbery with a value of 92 shillings.
He
was sentenced to transportation for
7 years having been originally sentenced to death,
and left England on the
Charlotte
aged about 24 at that time (May 1787).
His occupation was listed as seaman.He left NSW in 1791.

Guilty of return from transport following the Mercury mutiny.Report from Dunkirk hulk was “in general tolerably well behaved but troublesome at times”. In August 1791 received 81 of 100 lashes for playing cards on Sunday.Married Frances Hart on 13 February 1788.
