James STRONG

He was tried at Dorchester, Dorset on 10 March 1784 for stealing bedding with a value of 75 shillings. He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years and left England on the Alexander aged about 34 at that time (May 1787). His occupation was listed as fiddler.

Notes: Sentenced to be put in irons and to receive 200 lashes for attempting to break into a store in March 1791.
