George WEST

He was tried at Old Bailey, London on 8 December 1784 for assault and robbery of unknown value. He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years and left England on the Alexander aged about 19 at that time (May 1787). His occupation was listed as soldier. He died in 1788.

Notes: Sometimes confused with proposed second fleeter Benjamin West, who escaped before embarking.
