James WRIGHT
He
was tried at
Maidstone, Kent
on
12 August 1783 for highway robbery (3 charges) with a value of 364 shillings.
He
was sentenced to transportation for
7 years having been originally sentenced to death,
and left England on the
Scarborough
aged about 25 at that time (May 1787).
He had no occupation recorded. He died in 1825.

On 29 December 1790 charged with being up late and creating a disturbance. Received a punishment of being fined 2 pounds of flour from the next week’s rations.
