Samuel LIGHTFOOT

He was tried at Exeter, Devon on 14 March 1785 for stealing clothing with a value of 81 shillings. He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years and left England on the Charlotte aged about 23 at that time (May 1787). He had no occupation recorded.He left NSW in 1793. He died in 1818.

Notes: Report from Dunkirk hulk was that he had behaved “remarkably well”.Returned as a free settler in 1803.
