Edward PUGH

He was tried at Gloucester, Gloucestershire on 5 October 1784 for stealing clothing of unknown value. He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years and left England on the Friendship aged about 22 at that time (May 1787). His occupation was listed as carpenter. He died in 1837.

Notes: Joined NSW Corps in 1800. Described in September 1808 as aged 50 years seven months, with dark complexion, light brown hair, hazel eyes, and 5ft 6ins tall.Probably fathered a daughter with Elizabeth Parker in England. Married Hannah Smith on 15 June 1788 and had 5 children.
