James UNDERWOOD
He
was tried at
Salisbury, Wiltshire
on
11 March 1786 for stealing livestock (five sheep) with a value of 100 shillings.
He
was sentenced to transportation for
14 years having been originally sentenced to death,
and left England on the
Charlotte
aged about 44 at that time (May 1787).
His occupation was listed as shipwight.
