William VICKERY

He was tried at Exeter, Devon on 20 March 1786 for stealing cash with a value of 120 shillings. He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years and left England on the Charlotte aged about 25 at that time (May 1787). He had no occupation recorded. He died in 1822.

Notes: Report from Dunkirk hulk was “tolerably decent and orderly”. May have been the convict ‘Vinry’ who received 100 lashes on 15 February 1791 for stealing cobs of corn.
