She
was tried at
Chester, Cheshire
on
13 August 1784 for stealing clothing with a value of 36 shillings.
She
was sentenced to transportation for
7 years
and left England on the
Prince of Wales
aged about 20 at that time (May 1787).
She had no occupation recorded. She died in 1819.

Married John Herbert (Charlotte) on 2 April 1788 and had seven children.On 5 December 1788 she brought a complaint against her husband after a dispute. It was considered trivial and she received 25 lashes.She died “universally respected by her numerous friends and acquaintances.”
